PROJECT

Situated in Thibodaux along Bayou Lafourche, has been significantly enhanced to improve accessibility and user experience. In a project completed in March 2019, the existing wooden dock was replaced and elevated to allow water flow beneath, reducing debris accumulation and improving usability during high water levels. Additionally, a 100-foot floating dock was installed in a previously inaccessible area, expanding access for both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. These improvements, led by Friends of Bayou Lafourche in collaboration with local officials, have made the launch safer and more user-friendly, encouraging increased recreational use of the bayou.
